South Africa's mad scientists:Doctor testifies he designed germs to kill blacks.
CAPE TOWN (Reuters-AP) - The former South African government tried to develop a bacteria that would kill or make infertile only black people, the scientist who set up the apartheid regime's secret poison factory said yesterday. Dr. Daan Goosen told the Truth and Reconciliation Commission that a major thrust at the secret laboratory had been the infertility project.
"We realized we might not achieve 100 per cent sterilization," he said. "It was not thought to get rid of all the black people, just to curb the birth rate." The truth commission has been listening to evidence this week about the South African government's secret biological and chemical weapons program >during the apartheid era. Retired Archbishop Desmond Tutu said the testimony was the most shocking he has heard as chairman of the commission, which has taken statements from hundreds of >witnesses since 1995. "Here are people of high intelligence, coldly and clinically in white laboratory coats, working on things they know were meant to be instruments of destroying people," Tutu said in an interview. The infertility project was set in motion by a message from an unknown source in Europe claiming to have a bacteria that could selectively kill "pigmented" people, Goosen testified.
The lead was never pursued when officials got wind that it might be a trap. However, the work already done on the project at the Roodeplaat Research Laboratories had made good progress. No attempts were ever made to harm blacks as a result of the project. He said the laboratory had also made poisons ranging from cigarettes laced with anthrax to beer, orange juice, whiskey and chocolates containing a range of toxins. One witness testified this week that a shirt infused with poison - one of the tools developed by scientists - was given to a black activist who then lent it to a friend. The friend wore the shirt and died. "The key was that a toxin should not be detectable, but if it was detectable it must not be traceable to clandestine application,"
Goosen said. He acknowledged that he had been wrong to work on the projects, but blamed the hysterical political mood of the time for his misjudgment. "It was a time of conflict. Communism was coming. It was total onslaught," he said. Any researcher who broke ranks faced possible assassination, scientist Schalk van Rensburg said Wednesday.
"We had been told in no uncertain terms, if you let the side down you are dead," van Rensburg said. Goosen, was fired in 1989 after a falling out with Wouter Basson, who headed the program. He said scientists often were asked to design toxins for use against specific targets.
"We were very concerned that it should be used against the enemy, legitimate targets," Goosen said, adding the name of imprisoned African National Congress leader Nelson Mandela had been discussed.
"I personally had discussions with Basson that if you had to release him (Mandela) it would be good if he had a disease so that he would not long be a problem," he said. Van Rensburg described plans to poison Mandela, before he became president, with thallium, which can cause brain damage. The plan was never carried out.
It is my honor to give a word of empowering advice, before you read this article. As you read this alarming article, you read with the knowledge that YOU, have the POWER OF ONE, to totally counterattack this war on OUR Black Scholars.
My Brothers and Sisters, each of us are responsible to have our own library of African and African-American books and share what we know to everyone who wants the knowledge and enlightenment. Each of us are responsible to purchase the books of our powerful authors who are now doing our own research.
No longer can anyone who does not Love and Appreciate US, DEFINE US, RESEARCH FOR US, TELL US WHO WE ARE, WHERE WE CAME FROM, WHAT OUR ACCOMPLISHMENTS and CONTRIBUTIONS HAVE BEEN AND CONTINUE TO BE, and LASTLY, HOW TO SPEND OUR $600 BILLION DOLLARS THAT WE CONTRIBUTE TO THIS ECONOMY!!!
As Elders in the community, through a RITES of PASSAGE PROGRAM, we pass on our special knowledge, enlightenment, enthusiasm and passion for our people to our children for the continuity of our community of the African Diaspora! Join this RITES movement. edgunter@bellatlantic.net
As others try to stop us, lie about us, disseminate false information about us through whatever means, YOU have the power to continue to move toward enlightenment!!! A +1 and a -1 = "0" Send our enemies LOVE +1+1+1+1+1+1 which neutralizes their -1. There is NO COMPETITION!!! We continue to LOVE OURSELVES and move forward.
Literally, we move in an opposite direction from our adversaries!!! I describe this process in my book, Superlearning 2000 published by Milligan Books of Los Angeles. Place all those who want to harm you in a PINK LOVE BUBBLE. Breathe deeply and visualize yourself in a Pink Love Bubble from the Loving Light of GOD, then breath out and FEEL the Love for yourself first. Then Breath in and visualize your adversary in whatever form it comes in (person, video, movies, documents...) in the PINK Love Bubble, and as you breathe out see it float away!! Say the affirmation< "This upset has no meaning to me, I let go and rise above that upset to a time and place where it has no power over ME!!I AM FREE!! BREATHE TWICE!! to seal this act!! The Time is the PRESENT MOMENT, the Place is in the LOVING LIGHT OF GOD! We are safe and free to move into enlightenment.
Peace and Blessings,

Hotep (Peace) Brothers and Sisters:
Have you heard about the movement to prevent African-centered historical information from reaching our people - particularly brothers and sisters on the college campuses? An article called "African American Racism in the Academic Community" can be found at: http://about.ferris.edu/htmls/OTHERSRV/ISAR/archives/AFAM.htm.
Barry Mehler, who wrote the article, is the founder of the Institute for the Study of Academic Racism (ISAR). ISAR staff have worked with Congress and the Justice Department. They maintain an on-line archive to promote research on "academic racism." They monitor "campus racism" and are supposed to be a resource center for legislators, journalists and civil rights groups. Guess who he's monitoring?
Mehler's main objective seems to be to rid the college campuses of our African-centered scholars and speakers. He has worked to have African-centered materials banned.
He's part of Clinton's Initiative on Race. (www.whitehouse.gov/initiatives/OneAmerica/Practices/pp_19980812.5500.html)

MAYBE GOD'S TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING
Are you trying to find happiness, joy and peace in your life? You thought you'd find it when you got that promotion on your job. You put in all the long hours and went that extra mile, gave 110% and finally after being passed up over and over again you get it. Striving for that promotion was your idea of happiness and success and would finally validate you as a person. What you find out oh to soon is that you're still empty, working even longer hours and giving more that 110% just to prove you deserved the promotion. MAYBE GOD'S TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING!
Maybe you feel a need to lose weight, dye your hair or get a make over in order to be happy. You constantly shop and buy the latest designer clothes, dine at the finest restaurants, but when you come home, hang up your new wardrobe and look in the mirror you're still empty. You're still searching and not satisfied with the new and improved look. MAYBE GOD'S TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING!
The relationship you're in gives you physical satisfaction and pleasure and keeps the loneliness away, but deep down inside you know you're living a lie. You're involved with the wrong man and just don't know how to let go. He keeps telling you that he loves and needs you, but your heart is empty and your spirit's weak. You're always trying to justify your relationship with him. MAYBE GOD'S TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING!
In order to find happiness, joy, and peace the first thing to do is GIVE UP! Yes, surrender your will to God totally. Accept who you are and where you are and be happy. Happiness is not a pursuit, a constant need to change, grow, elevate or consume. Happiness is a "state', a consciousness and awareness of the presence of God in your life. Joy and peace are sister and brother to happiness, love is the mother and God is the father. God loves to give you happiness, joy and peace! Until we learn to first honor and obey our Father, we'll forever be in constant pursuit of happiness and endlessly feeling empty and unsatisfied with our lives.
Maybe God's trying to tell you, "Seek ye first the kingdom of heaven and all things will be added unto you." Maybe God's trying to tell you, "He who finds a good woman has found a good thing," or maybe just maybe God's trying to tell you, "Charm is deceptive, beauty is fleeting, but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised." MAYBE GOD'S TRYING TO TELL YOU SOMETHING SISTERS! Think about it!!!

Maybe it's me. Maybe I'm missing the point, but last night I had an experience that left me disturbed. I watched the wonderful PBS documentary Africans In America which chronicles the horrors of slavery. I watched the show and I came away proud knowing that a lot of my forefathers and foremothers did not go out like punks. They fought they resisted and they showed some amazing resilience which allowed us as a people to survive. I watched the show and left me with a lot to think about. It was deep.
So afterwards I switched the channel to catch the Chris Rock Show. I think Chris is funny and I like the fact that he can get political. But last night I really wanted to peep out the show cause Jay-Z was on and he's only done one show here in Northern Cali. He unfortunately came out here during the height of the East/West Coast drama and folks was trying to heat up on him while he performed. So I wanted to see how the man with the number one album in the country would get down. So Jay-Z hits the stage to perform his hit single 'Hard Knock Life' which uses the chorus from the play 'Annie'. He's surrounded by about a dozen beautiful young brothers and sisters. I'm saying to myself this is cute.. Jay-Z has the kids singing the hook to the song..He does the song and I notice that Jay-Z is not using profanity.. So I start to give him props.. I expect the Chris Rock Show to get raunchy and raw.. I have no problem with that. But I was happy Jay-Z showed that respect and didn't do the unedited version of his song with all those little kids sitting on stage with him. I felt he was being responsible. Then it struck like a searing knife. My admiration quickly subsided and turned to anger when out of Jay-Z's mouth came the infamous 'N' word.. Over and over again he used word.. He paid tribute to his 'Nigga' Notorious BIG. He asked all his 'Niggas' to put their hands up.. He gave big shout outs to all his Niggas. He dropped the word several more tim
